Specialty Equipment

At MIRWEC Coating, we listen to customers’ needs very carefully. We’ve added several high demand specialty equipment to our coating lines and facility, so our customers can streamline their process and complete more projects at one location. 

UV Irradiator

UV Irradiator

Available on the IS-700 and MLDX350 the UV irradiator is a device that generates and irradiates light with wavelengths in the ultraviolet region. UV is an electromagnetic wave in the wavelength range of 10-400nm. In coatings, UV is used for the curing of UV-curable resins. The curing reaction of UV-curing resins mainly uses the 250~450nm region, with most of them being highly sensitive to 365nm. 

The UV irradiator we have in our possession uses Heraeus’ electrodeless UV curing system. This UV curing system offers a choice of two lamps with different peak wavelengths–those bulbs are called D-and H-bulbs. Their wavelength ranges and their relative intensities are shown in the graph below. 

MIRWEC Coating has a range of mixers available for customers to use. They range from small magnetic stir plates, propeller type electric mixers, air pneumatic 55 gallon drum mixers, and our biggest, the Tri-mix. 

Trimix

Manufactured by Inoue Seisakusho in Japan, it has one more agitator blade than the conventional planetary mixer. It is characterized by its ability to apply higher shear stress. This kneader can be used in a wide range of applications, including dispersion of battery materials or ceramic powders, and dissolution of high molecular weight resins (high viscosity). 

Calandering Machine

Need your substrate calandered before or after coating, we have a demo machine that has a 180mm wide roller to meet your needs. 

Heated Slot-Die

The Slot-Die is heated to allow high-viscosity solutions to coat more evenly than at room temperatures by reducing their viscosity. Our heated slot-die can be found on our Takmi-750 system. 

Slitting Machine

Our slitting machine offers a wide range of widths from 500mm to 1500mm and works with thicknesses from 12𝜇-250𝜇

We also have a Tacmina diaphragm pump, two Monopumps to help with supplying your solution to the coating machines. In addition we also have three ball mills to keep your solution from settling during your time with us.
